Mechanical sanding of siding surfaces is to remove failed coating which has been exposed by power washing.

Our process is a two stage mechanical sanding with Makita GV 5000 sanders using 16-36 grit pads followed by 60 grit to smooth sander marks.
	The sanding process will leave swirl marks in the wood and will also rough up the smooth texture of the wood. The newly sanded surface now leaves a substrate that is ready for a primer coat in turn providing a surface ready for adhesion with a top coat.
